A Place to Play, Gather, and Grow—Together.
Timnath residents have made it clear: we want indoor fitness, aquatics, and a place to come together year-round, without leaving town. That’s exactly what the proposed Timnath Recreation Center would deliver.
Well Played, Timnath!
Our community is growing, and this proposal is a smart response to what residents have asked for the most. Here’s what makes a new recreation center a win for Timnath:
Indoor aquatics for all ages, including a competition/lap pool; a leisure/activity pool with lazy river, water slide, and spray features; a warm-water therapy pool; and a whirlpool/spa.
Fitness and workout spaces, including a fitness center with cardio/weight training equipment, a walking track, group fitness/dance studios, and an outdoor fitness/training area.
Programs for every age and interest, from youth sports and swim lessons to adult leagues, fitness classes, arts and crafts, cooking, and more.
Year-round activities for kids and families, like an indoor playground, three multisport courts, a turf gym, and short-term child watch area.
Gathering spaces for the whole community, including an event hall, party rooms, a senior lounge, and a game room with Esports.
Funded with a modest sales and use tax that’s shared by out-of-town shoppers and not added to your property taxes.
Future-ready design, built to meet the needs of a growing population for years to come.

By voting YES, you’re helping make Timnath not just a great place to live, but a place where we can come together to play, connect, and thrive.
All of this would be housed in a future-ready, 109,000-square-foot, two-story facility designed to serve Timnath’s growing community for decades to come.
A Smart Investment in Our Future.
A proposed 1.25% sales and use tax, not a property tax, would fund construction.
Out-of-town shoppers would contribute a large share of the funding thanks to Timnath’s popular big box stores.
Sales tax revenues grow faster than property taxes, making this an efficient way to fund the project.
The tax would decrease to 0.25% once construction is paid off, and would then support only operations.
It’s backed by $8 million in developer fees, which reduces the amount needed from the public.
Pennies would be added to purchases—just 12.5 cents on a $10 sale.
The proposed site, centrally located adjacent to Timnath Parkway and 4th Avenue, is already owned by the Town.
